Erwin Youth League will be hosting the Babe Ruth District 1 All Star Tournament this year (2003). The tournament will start on *June 26th, 2003 and run through June 29th, 2003. There will be an Opening Ceremony and all teams for the five age groups will be present for. (Age groups are listed below) Also, the EYL Concession Stand will be open and running.

Admission charge for the 2003 Babe Ruth District 1 All Star Tournament:

  • Adults: $3.00
  • Children: $1.00 (ages 16 and under)


    • * Starting time TBA.


    Below are the age groups for softball participation:

    5-6 Year Olds = If your age is 5-6 on Dec. 31st
    7-8 Year Olds = If your age is 7-8 on Dec. 31st
    10 & Under = If your age is 9-10 on Dec. 31st
    12 & Under = If your age is 11-12 on Dec. 31st
    16 & Under = If your age is 13-16 on Dec. 31st


    Congratulations to the following Erwin Youth League Softball teams for the 2002 year.

    1st Annual End of Season Softball Tournament

  • 1st place in 7-8 year olds: Leicester Volunteer Fire Department
  • 1st place in 9-10 year olds: A G Edwards
  • 1st place in 11-12 year olds: Greene's Building Supply

    The 7-8 year old all-star team and the 11-12 year old all-star team placed in the District Tournament to go on to the State Tournament at Hominy Valley where they did a great job but just missed advancing to the South East Regionals. Congratulations girls!! Everyone is very happy and proud of you for such a wonderful accomplishment.

    The 5-6 year old and 9-10 year old All-Star Teams put up a good fight during the District Tournament but did not advance to the State Tournament. The Erwin Youth League is very proud of the softball teams this past year. All the girls did a wonderful job at having a great time learning, and playing the game of softball. We look forward to seeing everybody next year!!
